Online Blackjack South Africa 2026

The objective of blackjack is simple: beat the dealer's hand without exceeding 21. Number cards are worth their face value, face cards (J, Q, K) are worth 10, and Aces can be 1 or 11.

1. Place your bet — Choose your chip size and place your wager.
2. Receive your cards — You and the dealer each receive two cards. Your cards are face up; the dealer has one face up and one face down.
3. Decide your action — Hit (take another card), Stand (keep your hand), Double Down (double your bet and take one more card), or Split (if you have a pair).
4. Dealer plays — The dealer reveals their hole card and must hit on 16 or less and stand on 17 or more.
5. Compare hands — Closest to 21 without busting wins. Blackjack (Ace + 10-value card) pays 3:2.

Classic Blackjack — Standard rules with a single or multi-deck shoe. The purest form of the game.

European Blackjack — Dealer doesn't peek for blackjack, and players can only double on 9, 10 or 11.

Vegas Strip Blackjack — 4-deck game with liberal doubling and splitting rules. One of the most player-friendly variants.

Live Dealer Blackjack — Real dealers, real cards, streamed in HD. Available at most SA casinos via Evolution Gaming.
